Not only is it a challenge to finish a painting and be happy with it, taking the photograph and having the picture do the painting justice can be frustrating. Lately, I think my paintings are much better in real life. I think I could use a little photo workshop! This is definitely better in real life!

I have that problem with photos too. But I think the scans sometimes look better than the actual painting. I guess the oils are too wet for the scanner unless you wait a while.
