Massacre Pond

10 x 10 Oil on canvas panel
$100 unframed, additional for framing

History of the area has it that an Indian battle took place on this waterway, hence the name. I don't remember the date, but it conjures up some vivid images for me.

  1. How did I miss such luscious, gorgeous paintings! Your grasses in this oil have the same spontaneity and liveliness as your pastels. And I love the three bull rushes in the foreground to catch the eye. It feels so blustery and chilly...makes me want to shiver. (also, its cold in my studio :)
When I start selling (hear my optimism?) I am going to own one of your grass pictures.

  2. I agree with the comments that Catherine made regarding your pastels and oils having a similar feel. I love the composition and the sense of depth that you created with the grasses!

  4. This is lovely. There's a wonderful tension between the blues and oranges, very dynamic!
